Turning Compassion Inward: The Essential Practice of Self-Empathy

Self-empathy is the practice of turning that understanding, compassion, and kindness inward, recognizing our feelings, and treating ourselves with the same care we would offer a good friend. This involves accepting that imperfection is part of being human. It's about shifting our focus from striving for an unattainable ideal to understanding and accepting ourselves as we are, recognizing that mistakes and failures are growth opportunities.
